If you are looking for vintage correct Capacitors that work brilliantly then you have come to the right place. Luxe Radio, founded by Donovan, make exact replicas of the electronic parts used in guitars from the eras that we all love which work flawlessly yet look as if they have been around for ever.
You may think that a 0.1mf cpapcitor is too aggressive in a strat but coupled with a correct value Potentiometer these are just amazing, smooth and progressive they give great control and it's the same with all the items that Donovan makes.
If you have not tried these they are a real eye opener, all capacitors bleed the high frequencies to ground but not all are born equal. It's how they do it that matters.
In addition to the above these are made the funky old school way, so they will leak voltage and play all kinds of other tricks on your digital multi meter, but rest assured, they've been tested every step of the way on dedicated capacitance bridges, and they will do just what they were made for when you wire them into your guitars. The weird things that play games with your multi meter are the same things that give Luxe caps their unique sound.
Normal digital testing equipment WILL NOT WORK in measuring Luxe Paper in Oil capacitors. The initial reading will not be correct and even if the reading stabilizes it will not be correct. Luxe use a capacitance bridge which is a piece of pro electronics equipment.
Just remember that they leak voltage, so these are only for guitars!
