Orders shipped from the 29th August via courier , FEDEX, UPS etc.. will use the same process as before, that is, you will be contacted by the courier company for payment of duties. You should note that whereas there was no duty charged on shipments with a value less that $800.00 this has been suspended so all shipments will attract duty.
Orders shipped by post to the USA will, from the 29th August, have duties paid before shipping. What this means is that when we prepare your order for shipping the Royal Mail portal will calculate the duties payable and then we will contact you with a payment link which will need to be paid before shipment.
The duties payable will vary across the different items that we stock and so we will only know the actual amount after we have completed the shipping information but you should be able to estimate the amount.
Good question, this is a constantly moving target but you can get an idea of the current tariff rates by country HERE (select maybe later). In addition there is a £1.00 admin fee leavied by Royal Mail.
