"CGS" Charles Guitars 250K SupraPot - Split Shaft

Item number: CH13004

The (C)harles (G)uitars (S)upraPot is made with tolerances that mean that the value will never be below the nominal value.  We have had them marked with 250K to keep the correct visual but specified a value and tolerance that means that they are 255K plus.  They also have a brass shaft and threaded collar and are marked "CGS" to denote that they are SupraPots.

They feature a custom log taper that is specifically for electric guitar volume controls.  The value drops off more slowly which means that your volume control works in a far more intuitive way without the need for a treble bleed circuit.  They have a smooth even response throughout the range of motion so you will not experience any steep drop-offs or uneven taper.

These potentiometers are designed specifically for volume controls. They are not suggested for use as tone controls, our CTS “CG” pots are perfectly suited to that purpose.

Standard 250K CTS pots very rarely read 250K they are generally in the 220K - 240K range with a small percentage in the 240K to 250K range but very rarely over 250K.  If you are looking for a superior volume pot where the value is at least or better than the nominal value and will maintain the higher frequencies without the need for a treble bleed then these are what you have been looking for.

Please Note: These are USA Imperial size and require a 3/8” (9.5mm) hole and knobs for USA spec pots.  If your guitar has metric pots with 6mm holes, you will need to enlarge these and fit suitable knobs.
