CAB M-69 PAF Humbucker Mounting Rings Black

Item number: CH33099

If you want to upgrade your Gibson Historic Les Paul guitars and vintage restorations with the closest vintage correct Humbucker rings, then look no further than these exceptional CAB M-69 rings.  Vintage correct is an overused term but I think here its used correctly.

Made in the USA from Cellulose Acetate Butyrate with all the correct tool markings

The rings used for PAF pickups are unique. Often called M-69 (or MR490 or MR491 which identifies the neck or bridge ring), because of the mould markings underneath the pickup ring.  Neck pickup rings (thinner) are MR491, as moulded on the underside. Bridge pickup rings (thicker) are MR490.

They each have 7 mould marks on the underside (look very closely).  The Bridge is marked M-69 and 8 on one side and MR490 and P 1 on the other and the Neck M-69 and 7 on one side and MR491 and P1 on the other, and the detail just goes on.

There is no need to heat these as CAB is flexible enough to mould to the contour of the top without breaking and will hold their shape just as with vintage mounting rings.

These are not original 1959 rings but they are close as it is possible to get, they are the right dimensions and have all the correct tool marks.
