You will see the easy solder option on Strat Kits which includes a terminal block soldered onto the volume pot with screws to attach the 3 twisted ground pickup wires and the ground wire from the claw. You will need to solder the Pickup Hot wires to the switch but it is usually soldering the ground wires to the back of a pot that causes most of the problems.
With the wires to the socket we have fitted high quality gold plated push connectors to the socket and the leads from the volume pot.
