These Premium kits are assembled by us in the UK with our CG by Jupiter Paper-in-Oil capacitors to give a warmer woody tone, CTS “CGS” SupraPots in the volume position to retain tone and note definition as you roll down the volume to give a more natural control and CTS "CG" for the tone controls. We then sort through our potentiometers to create matched sets to give you an even response when rolling down your volume and tone controls.
If you wire an HSS in the classic Strat way of Master Volume an 2 Tones the problem that you run up against is whether to have a 500K pot for the humbucker or a 250K for the single coil pickups.
This kit solves that problem by using a 500K pot and two resistors so that when you select the bridge humbucker the pickup sees at 500K pot and the single coil pickups see a 250K pot instead of a 500K. In addition there is a 500K tone pot for the bridge humbucker and a 250K pot for the neck and middle single coils. There are always compromises with an HSS but this kit, though not solving all, does a pretty good job.
